1. GENERAL
Intronics offers i-SAVE 1001 an energy saving device used in the hotel’s guestroom. When Key card is pulled out of Key box, the system will cut off the power supplied to the lightings, outlets and air conditioner.

i-SAVE 1001 is equipped with the following devices :

1.1 Relay unit : which is a microprocessor controlled device used to control the lightings, outlets and air conditioner. It provides the following relays

  • Relay 1 : 20 A (resistive load), 220 Vac for lightings.
  • Relay 2 : 20 A (resistive load), 220 Vac for air conditioner.
  • Relay 3 : 20 A (resistive load), 220 Vac for outlets.

Note : For the specific outlets (such as for refrigerator) that the power can not be cut off, these outlets shall be connected directly to the power supply.

1.2 Key box : There are 3 types of Key box.

Keybox

  • Micro switch type : Any type of Key tag or Key card can be used. When key tag is inserted into the box, the system will turn on all relays.
  • Magnet type : There are magnet and reed switch inside the box. It is used with Key tag which has the steel plate between plastic sheets. When key tag is inserted into the box, Electromagnetic field will be disturbed. The system will turn on all relays.

  • Photo reflect type : It is used with magnetic strip or chip card by sensing the dark and light colors of Key card at 2 spots. When key tag is inserted into the box and the dark and light colors of the card are at correct predetermined spots, the system will turn on all relays.

1.3 Master switch (optional) : This switch is used as the Master switch to turn on/off the lightings.

2. FEATURES

2.1 Energy savings : When Key card is pulled out from Key box, after a predetermined delay time the system will cut off the power supplied to the lightings, outlets and air conditioners. When Key card is inserted into Key box, the system will supply the power to all equipment.

2.2 Programming : The user can set up the delay time to be 30 or 60 seconds by using Jumper.

2.3 Master Switch : Master switch is used to turn on/off Relay 1 which is dedicated for lightings. The switch can be of Intronics or any Push button type.
