i-SAVE 2000 Series

1. APPLICATION
i-SAVE 2000 serie is a bedside controller for Hotel’ s application. It is designed to provide the convenience to the users and meanwhile saving energy. The following is the standard features.

  • 6 lighting circuits can be turned on-off at either local switch(es) or the button(s) on the Keyboard.
  • Thermostat & fan speed control for the air conditioning system
  • Clock & Alarm
  • World time, up to 10 cities
  • Front panel signs with the chime facility (i-SAVE 2002 only)
  • Key box for energy saving

There are two models in i-SAVE 2000 serie.

  • i-SAVE 2001 which will be equipped with the above features but no Front panel.
  • i-SAVE 2002 which will be equipped with all above features.

When Key card is pulled out of Key box, the system will cut off the power supplied to the lightings and outlets. For the air conditioner, it can be programmed either to be turned off or raised up the setting temperature to 27 ºC with low fan speed. The system also provides the facility to put “Do not disturb/Make up room” sign on the Front panel and also the built – in bell.

i-SAVE 2000 is equipped with the following devices :
1.1 Relay unit : which is a microprocessor controlled device used to control the lightings, outlets and air conditioner. It provides the following relays

Relay unit (304 x 334 x 73.5 mm.)

  • Relays 1 – 2 : 5 A (resistive load), 220 Vac from emergency power supply for lightings.
  • Relays 3 – 6 : 5 A (resistive load), 220 Vac from normal power supply for lightings.
  • Relays 7 – 10 : 5 A (resistive load), 220 Vac for air conditioning system.
  • Relays 11 – 12 : 20 A (resistive load), 220 Vac for outlets.

1.2 Keyboard : which is located at the bedside to control the air conditioner, lightings, etc. It can be placed on the table or hanged on the wall. Up to 2 Keyboards can be used in the system for the suite room’s application. When any button is pressed, there is a blue back light on the screen for the better vision.

1.3 Key box : There are 3 types of Key box.

Keybox

  • Micro switch type : Any type of Key tag or Key card can be used. When key tag is inserted into the box, the system will turn on all relays.
  • Magnet type : There are magnet and reed switch inside the box. It is used with Key tag which has the steel plate between plastic sheets. When key tag is inserted into the box, Electromagnetic field will be disturbed. The system will turn on all relays.
  • Magnet

  • Photo reflect type : It is used with magnetic strip or chip card by sensing the dark and light colors of Key card at 2 spots. When key tag is inserted into the box and the dark and light colors of the card are at correct predetermined spots, the system will turn on all relays.

1.4 Front panel (i-SAVE 2002 only) : is installed outside the room. It is used to display “Do not disturb” or “Make up room” sign. By pressing the button on the Key board, the relevant sign will be lit. There is also Bell button to activate the electronic bell which is built in the system. When “Do not disturb” sign is lit, the bell is deactivated.

1.5 Speaker : is provided for the Bell feature.

2. LOCAL CONTROL

2.1 Energy savings : Key box located in the foyer area is used for energy savings purpose. When Key card is inserted into the box, the lightings & air conditioner can be operated according to the last setting or preset mode.

When Key card is pulled out from the box, after a predetermined time

  • All lightings will be turned off.
  • All relays for outlets are off.
  • The air conditioner will be turned off or operated on the preset mode.
  • The buttons on Keyboard and local switches can not be used.
  • The alarm clock is deactivated.

2.2 Lightings : can be turned on/ off either at the local switch(es) or buttons on Keyboard. MASTER button on Keyboard is to

  • Turn off all lightings if there are any remained ON.
  • Turn on the lightings according to the preset program or last settings if all lightings are OFF.

2.3 Air conditioner : can be operated by using the buttons on Keyboard.

  • Power on/off : to turn on/off the air conditioning system.
  • Temperature setting : can be set in a range of 15-30 oC with 0.5 oC step.
  • Fan speed : Auto, High, Medium, Low.
  • Mode of operation : Cool & Fan only

2.4 Clock & Alarm : There is a clock with alarm feature in the system. The clock is back up for 48 hours by super capacitor which lasts very long.

2.5 World time : The system provides World time of 10 cities.

  • Bangkok : UTC / GMT + 7 hours
  • Beijing : UTC / GMT + 8 hours
  • Beirut : UTC / GMT + 2 hours
  • Bombay : UTC / GMT + 5:30 hours
  • Los Angeles : UTC / GMT – 8 hours
  • London : UTC / GMT + 0 hours
  • New York : UTC / GMT – 5 hours
  • Singapore : UTC / GMT + 8 hours
  • Sydney : UTC / GMT +10 hours
  • Tokyo : UTC / GMT + 9 hours

2.6 Front panel display : The user can put “Do not disturb” or “Make up room” sign on the Front panel.

2.7 Bell : There is a built – in electronic bell in the system. When the BELL button on the Front panel is pressed while “Do not disturb” sign is not activated, the system will generate a pleasant chime at the speaker.

2.8 Night : while all lamps are off, LED at NIGHT button is on. At this moment if NIGHT button is pressed, only lamp1 (which normally Foyer area will be on.).
